2020 Conference
The 2020 The Way Up Conference has been canceled.
It is with great sadness we announce The Way Up Planning Council has decided to cancel the 2020 The Way Up Conference due to the ongoing concerns posed by the Coronavirus pandemic.
As you can imagine, this was a very difficult decision because we so value the opportunity to join with you each year in engaging conversation, professional growth, and celebration of the contributions of women in Iowa’s colleges and universities.
We must, however, put health and safety first. Many colleges and universities have instituted travel restrictions and budget concerns continue to loom. And the future of the Coronavirus Pandemic remains as uncertain as ever. In these unprecedented times, we recognize the need is stronger than ever for networking opportunities and professional development. Plans are now underway to support you in this need. Look for upcoming announcements via email and through our social media feeds for more details.
We know how much the conference means to you; it is the highlight of our year. We look forward to joining you at The Way Up Conference 2021, now scheduled at the Coralville Marriot on November 4-5, 2021. Until then, thank you for your leadership during these challenging times. It is women like you who make Iowa’s colleges and universities institutions of excellence.
